Cyber Security Professionals Head to Boston

April 3, 2017

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced the agenda for SANS Boston 2017 taking place August 7 – 12. SANS Boston 2017 offers budding and highly seasoned security professionals the opportunity to learn from some of the world's top cyber security professionals.

Included among the instructors is Boston-based Digital Forensics and Incident Response expert Rob Leewho will teach the SANS FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis course.

According to Lee, "You can't protect what you don't know about and many people are unaware Windows is silently recording an unbelievable amount of data on its users. Understanding forensic capabilities and artifacts is a core component of information security yet many lack the necessary skills to be successful. FOR500 teaches students how to mine this mountain of data including how to recover, analyze, and authenticate forensic data on Windows systems, track particular user network activity, and organize findings for use in incident response, internal investigations, and civil/criminal litigation. Anyone involved in digital forensic analysis, this is a course you won't want to miss!"
SANS Boston 2017 will feature an exceptional line-up of instructors and courses. Eric Conrad will teach SEC511: Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations, Paul A. Henry will teach SEC501: Advanced Security Essentials - Enterprise Defender, Frank Kim will teach MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy and Leadership, Robert M. Lee will teach FOR578: Cyber Threat Intelligence and Bryan Simon will teach the SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style.
